Greenhouse Gas Emission Inventories

Greenhouse Gas Emission Inventories |
|
Worldwide concern regarding greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions has resulted in significant new legislation in the United States. AB 32, for example, in California will require most industrial and commercial facilities to inventory and ultimately reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.
Environmental Compliance Solutions, Inc. has managed Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission inventories for landfills, oil and gas production facilities, pipelines, fuel transfer stations, lead battery recycling, and various manufacturing operations. Inventories included calculation of the six Kyoto Protocol gases: carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxides (N20), hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), perfluorocarbons (PFCs), and sulphur hexafluoride (SF6).
Specific projects included the preparation of customized greenhouse gas calculators which can be used to determine CO2 and methane from trucks and off-road equipment fleets. Clients can input specific truck data and GHGs are calculated on an annual basis automatically. Emission factors are based on California Climate Action Registry protocols.
In addition, we’ve completed over 50 annual emission inventory reports for submittal to SCAQMD. Reports included calculation of all criteria pollutants and specific air toxics and CFCs from a wide variety of industrial sources including: landfills, trucking facilities, powerplants, printing, and manufacturing.
